Private Paternity Test

If you choose a Private Knowledge Paternity Test, discreet collection kits containing buccal (mouth) swabs will be delivered to your address for simple, painless sample collection. The samples are collected by rubbing the provided swabs inside the mouth along the cheek and then sent back to the laboratory for analysis. Results will be available 1 to 3 business days from the date the samples are received at the laboratory.

"Split Kit" option for families who do not live in the same city

If the individuals to be tested live in different cities, or even different countries, we can split the kit and send each component to a different address. Since the kits are individually barcoded, the samples will still be tested together even if the are sent back separately. To order a split kit, please write the following into the comments box of the online order form "Please split kit". Please also indicate the name and address to send each component. For example, please state "send the Alleged Father's portion to... (specify the alleged father's name and address)" and "send the Child's portion to... (specify the Child's name and address).

Legal Paternity Test

The Legal Paternity Test is for individuals who need to receive legally admissible documents for use in court. Our legal paternity test results reports are legal documents which are admissible in courts throughout North America as conclusive evidence of paternity or non-paternity. Legal paternity testing requires a chain-of-custody procedure to be followed during sample collection by an unbiased third party collector/collection site. If you choose the legal test, you cannot collect the samples yourself. You will need to attend an appointment for chain-of-custody sample collection. This ensures proper witnessing, verification of identification and fingerprinting of the individuals involved in the test. Results will be available 1 to 3 business days from the date the samples are received at the laboratory.

Which paternity test option should I choose?
